Season Two Needs a Fight

Season one at the dock was always going to get a little patience because everything was new. Season two should not be allowed to hide behind novelty. Everton need a fight now: more goals, stronger home form, fewer soft weeks, and a squad that looks like it knows what it is for.
Supporters do not demand perfection. They demand evidence. A team can lose and still make people believe if it runs hard, attacks with conviction and refuses to fold. What kills the mood is drift.
The stadium gives Everton a platform, but platforms can become excuses. The club cannot keep pointing at the view of the river while the football stays timid. At some point the place has to become a weapon.
Recruitment matters because mood alone will not fix chance creation or squad depth. Everton need players who make the pitch feel bigger for them and smaller for the opponent.
Season two should be framed as a challenge. Not Europe-or-bust nonsense. Just a clear demand: make the dock proud, make visiting sides uncomfortable, and make Everton feel upward again.
Season two is where patience starts asking for interest. Supporters accepted that season one would include novelty and adjustment. The next step needs more football substance.
That means goals, aggression, clearer recruitment and a home record that gives the ground teeth. It does not mean silly promises. It means visible progress that can survive a bad week.
Everton do not need the dock to be a monument. They need it to be a weapon. That only happens when the team plays with enough courage to make the crowd believe their noise is being used.
